FOOT 2014: “Breaking the Body’s Boundaries” will mark the 22nd anniversary of the annual Festival of Original Theatre (FOOT) at The University of Toronto’s Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies.  This year’s festival features an exciting and dynamic integration of panels, speakers, and live performances that interrogate and challenge the social, theoretical, physical, and aesthetic constructions of the boundaries of the body.

The keynote address this year will be delivered by Dr. Amelia Jones (author of Seeing Differently: A History and Theory of Identification and the Visual Arts; Self/Image: Technology, Representation, and the Contemporary Subject; and Body Art/Performing the Subject). U.K performance artist Millie Brown will also be in attendance to perform and produce an original work (previous works include: Nexus Vomitus; Muted Chronology; and a video installation for Lady Gaga’s The Monster Ball Tour).

There is no charge to attend FOOT 2014, but online registration prior to the event is strongly encouraged.  Registration information, as well as further information regarding the festival, can be found on our website: https://foot2014.wordpress.com
